I was running the 4x15 rig last practice, and definitely had more punch coming of the Crate side than the Sunn side, but still was using this wonky underpowered Carvin amp.
Before the speakers blew, the single Sunn 2x15 with my Acoustic amp could keep up with my guitarist. If it can still do that with the new janky speakers, then they're a WIN in my book. But I predict a 50/50 chance that they just dont have enough bass and punch. Hard to say, that Crate 2x15 punches surprisingly hard.... if it had a Fender or Ampeg logo on it I wouldn't bat an eye. I am hereby guilty of brand-hate for underestimating it.
The new speakers accept more power than the previous ones though, so they should be able to take more juice from my Acoustic and punch/shake just as hard. Theoretically.

Yob
Sleep/Om/Shrinebuilder
Neurosis
Bongripper
Laudanum
Electric Wizard
Bongripper
does Black Sabbath count? |

I think it wants me to buy it. | Step 1. Go to your local GC and play a Distortron and decided if that is the tone you're going for.
Step 2. Wait until they post a demo not playing through a Terror bass which could make any pedal sound epic (especially if it was goosing the preamp tubes and scooping the mids).
Step 3. Realize that it'll cost $300 and that they didn't include the clean blend that they promised. |

But, different strokes. |

If you are in a band, we need links and gear shots! Or just gear shots. Or maybe pics of Al's rig again!
Favorite bands... hard to narrow it down. Weedeater has got to be up there...
Goatsnake is total awesome
Red Giant was one of my faves.
High On Fire
Kyuss
The Sword
Black Pyramid
Monobrow not just because Sam is here. My favortie 3-piece instrumental group.
Low Gravity is a local who I really really like.
There are more, but thats a decent start.
Check record labels Meteor City and Small Stone. Just about everything on there, is awesome. | Sounds great. I'll get pics of my charvel and the (sigh) razorback up soon. Hopefully after x mas they'll be sitting by my new modded 72 Ampeg V4 and 79 8x10s
