thanks for the recommendations, i might look into making my own cables for all the custom length stuff i need. |

Then when I received a call saying "sorry sir blah blah we can give you 10' for the same price" I stuck it out "my cable needs exceed 10'"and I can't remember if I now have 15' or 20' gold mogami but GOLD an so does two or three other cats that followed through with my acci-hustle.
Monster cable are poop.
I'll admit it I looked up Mogami because Steve Von Till said that's what he used in a rig rundown. I used to get horizon cables when I lived in Nashville great warranty but pedestrian cable. I wouldn't have laid out the cash for a full priced set of Mogami but if these were stolen I'd buy em at full price.
Lets talk patch cables.
My rig is so cray-cray at this point solderless can suck it. (George L's? bye bye Lava? FAIL!)
I didn't think the GLS pancake ends were going to work for me but they are pretty on point.
The switchcraft cost a ****-ton I hope I don't regret not doing switchcraft.(in Vegas always bet on switchcraft)
Bulk cable= Klotz
There is only one US distributer and he only carries the stiffer good for long run stuff which I plan on giving a try) but for now I ordered a variety of thick but suuper flexible cable that is a dream to work with. Well I don't plan on selling cables because even though i could make TGP money, I plan on distributing klotz bulk pedal cable and if someone emails me a receipt showing they bought their first good soldering iron then they can buy at dead cost. Learning how to construct your own cable to meet your ever changing pedal board.....
Or we could do a group buy cause a 1000meter roll can get a little pro eh to ship from Germany. I am hoping I can get it in green. Yes yes that's my cable.
Also with the pancake ends I find myself grabbing the plug 100% of the time when removing it froma jack...
Does anyone know where I can get the Loud Amps Save Lives helmet stickers from WITHOUT the sticker companies we site at the bottom and I know I could get like contagious to print them but I want the real deal black background curved edges white font motorcycle helmet sticker. OldCrow will need them on a his cabs a d yes buy the other cab.

We're playing in Westminster next weekend, and if it's still available after the show I'll probably run up there to grab it.

i have also discovered, for dingy bar gigs, i need to sort out a light/lamp of some sort to illuminate my footswitches for easier stomping. any good clip on battery powered lamp things anyone knows about? i might have an old USB one lying around with a flexible neck, i'd just have to convert it to run off a 9v battery.
also getting sick of my curly-wurly vox cable unless i am on a really small stage. does anyone have any super-long reliable cable brand they recommend for bass -> board and board -> head? | Amazon. Search clip on led. I been wanting one too.
I've always used monster(bass series now). Guitarist uses armor gold cables. They're pretty neat. Tough as nails. Taken a few monsters in & done warranty swap at gc. Been eyeballing Mogami for a while though. It is hard to bite that $80 bullet. Also George L's on the board. Also been considering the gls pancakes. Don't tell sonny.
If you start selling patch cable kits sonny I'd be all about gls pancakes.

the ONLY U.S. Klotz importer is Kendrick and they only carry the GY107 which I believe is renamed AC110 that's just as thick as the stuff i want to use for patch but wisely a bit stiffer for long runs. http://www.kendrick-amplifiers.com/m...tegory_Code=03
i like how even the quote saying "......will think that I'm crazy to think of a $69.95, twenty-foot Klotz as a best buy, but ........."
and then the cost is $20 more.

Along with the usual unpacking from moving was asked to do sound for a house party our friend was having. She managed to have a Christian Metalcore band (blaring for the desolate), a metal band that just played the alter bar (dematus), and a white emo kid looking rapper to come out and play. It was a good time though I spent most of it guarding the pa and making sure the bands all left with what they came with. There was also a fire twirler/eater and some tattoo people there and there.
Been so busy with the house... if I don't play soon I'm going to explode. |
