On a sillier note, I still consider prostitutes whores. However, a prostitute lets you know what they are about. No hate. Respect. Maybe different opinions too? Like that fearful/fearless stuff people keep talking about I need a 200 lb cab and a 10 bass to capture how heavy I am.
Looks like my olde crow cabs gonna be 31x31x16. 80lbs. Not bad for a bass 4x12. I think the 810's 200 lb self is gonna see a lot less action.

Revisiting an earlier discussion about cars, I'm going to eventually need a vehicle that's enclosed that can fit two ~50x30x15" cabs.

Great, now I'm starting to GAS for guitar stuff. Now that my bass rig is pretty much complete, waiting for a cheap Peavey CS-800 to come along, I want to put together a guitar rig. Thinking VB-2 with a 2x12. Anything I buy for the "guitar" rig has to be bass friendly as well, to keep with my dual purpose theme.

My guitar rig so far is actually pretty okay.

Through my one guitarist might end up using it more than I do, ha.

Going to eventually build a 4x12 and a 2x12 with the speakers that came out of the 1200S cab I modded into a 2000S.

I've thought more than once about getting a used van. A friend got one for his band Letters to Voltron. Totally looks like a rape van, but it's dam handy.

Jam last night pretty much couldn't have gone better. Even my fuzz tone didn't suck for once.

Unfortunately, I now find myself with some serious GAS for an envelope filter and/or phaser. The ones on the ME-50B are ok, but I get a ridiculous volume boost from the phaser, which means it's only good for solos, of which there are currently none.

Very good choice my friend, the VB-2 is my new favorite production head for guitar, even though its a bass head If your interested in hearing what the VB-2 w/ guitar sounds like I did this demo video for another forums board contest....

Haha, if only that idea could be a reality! Meshuggah was pretty much the only thing I listened to throughout most of highschool...them and morbid angel.

I'd listen to that band.

I saw Meshuggah on the Destroy/Erase/Improve tour. I remember liking it, but it was at the end of a long Milwaukee Metalfest and I was exhausted. It's cool to see them gaining a measure of fame in the metal world.

Also: Morbid Angel is great. Always impressive live and Domination is HEAVY.

Listening to Gypsyhawk this am to get ready for the show (Hope nothing happens where we are uninvited). Definitely no shortage of stoner bands on that date. Gypsyhawk and Mothership from Texas (these guys are awesome too). Still no official change on the flyers, so still waiting to announce this show. Hope you doomers don't mind me spoiling the surprise. After listening to both bands extensively last night, I am all kinds of stoked to play with these dudes. We have some extra drone/noise parts that none of the other bands have, but as I mentioned, we are the only band in town playing what we are playing. I mean we are good, but there is probably a bigger reason we are being asked to play (when we only have one show under our belt). Both bands have that Graveyard-esque timewarp thing going. Gypsyhawk is a little more slick (IMO), but not in a bad way. They are more like The Sword (IMO)

So to you dudes that are in more saturated areas, do you end up on some kind of rotation or something? I mean obviously, the best band is going to be asked. But being a similar style will hopefully help us get on the stoner rock shows. Doom shows might be another story.

I blind emailed the one band from Denver that I have been getting into. Told them that we are here in the Springs, and if they are down here or they need an opener up there, to get in touch. So, hopefully that helps puts the bug in the ear.

Going to have my drummer reach out to his scene pals to try and get this 04/20 show going!!! I mean, how can you play stoner rock and not play on 04/20, you know?

For the guys that have already been doing this, what is the best first piece of merch you can have? Music? (from a business perspective as far as cost v. profit)

Wow! I just got Finished watching George Romero's "Knightriders." I haven't seen it in like 30 years or something, and it's even more awesome than I remembered.

Savini is an absolute badass.

Now it's time for school work...

So Joe you're playing with Mothership as well then? I really like those guys. Have an alarm set on my phone for Saturday when their vinyl goes on sale so I don't miss out.

As far as the best first merch piece, I'd say your first run of shirts.

Yes dude!!! They are on a mini tour of sorts with Gypsyhawk. I don't know what all dates they have with them, but they are schedueled to come with gypsyhawk to the Springs and tickets are only $5. People better come to this one! Two great bands and us. We could even add another band and make it a night or heavy rock to remember.

It went boom, and the company that owns it also owns Guitar Center and Musicians Friend. So since they are all ready on the verge of bankruptcy they have decided not to upgrade or update the servers, which are all ready beyond capacity with archived threads, so they just let it crash. I used to be a huge regular over there, but I started new threads and brought all my usual conspirators over to ILF.
