I read that on my phone yesterday, when I was just killing some time on the couch...holy sh*t, if that guy is for real he needs to smoke some weed and chill out. This coming from one the guys in this thread who doesn't get high.

Yeah I saw that one too, thought it was gonna go down in flames. Anybody that wants their bass to stop buzzing without a setup is just asking to get scolded.

I saw that one yesterday, haven't checked it today. Definitely "Not sure if troll or serious" territory. Pretty funny nonetheless.

This band Black Acid Devil is pretty solid. Looks like they're from Boulder, maybe Joe knows em?

Anyways, opening track is titled "You Don't Know **** About Dopesmoke" which I thought was pretty funny. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ndSC-co5mvE

Solid jams right there, I'm getting a lot of good tunes this afternoon. I'm alone at work all this week until Friday, I was stressing out yesterday and today over a big delivery I had to get done by myself. It's done as of this morning, I'm chilling out, no calls. Now I wish I had brought my bass and practice rig so I could work on riffs for the new band.

Yep, they bad. I don't know them personally, though. There was a website that lists some of the heavy bands around here.

stagetramp.com

I actually started to cold email some of the bands just to let them know we exist. Might be hooking up with Low Gravity at some point to play a show. They are one of my favorite local bands. So Heavy.

That's the best way to do it man, especially when no one in your band really has an "in" with the scene. Cold email them, tell them how much you dig their music (I saw you at XXX show and I really liked X song), send them what you've got and highlight what you think is either your best song or a song that you think makes you a good band to play with their band, and just go from there.

Worst that can happen is they say no or just don't get back to you.

I feel bad for how entertaining this is, if this is actually some kid with problems and not a troll.

I don't feel bad for anyone who attacks a chunk of wood with a knife instead of a proper implement like an axe or saw. Its like softcore pron, ineffective.

Low Gravity is kicks a$$. The guitarist used to post on sr.com and then I think stonerrocklives jam room too, not sure if he still does. That's how I heard about them though, when they put their EP out.

Is spotify the one you have to have Facebook to use? I think I already tried to sign up for it before and couldn't because of that.

Also http://www.reddit.com/r/stonerrock/ is a great place to find new bands. I still need to go through a bunch of best of 2012 lists to see what I missed this year.

I've been keeping an eye on that wacko kid's thread too. Pretty hilarious.

Oh, and one of the douchiest TB members I've encountered is posting in there now...and what a surprise...he's being a douche.

And I think you do need Facebook in order to join Spotify. They changed it a while back. I've tried to sign up a couple friends without FB in the recent past and couldn't find a way around.
