I bought a cheap Ibanez delay. Supposedly they are decent.
But I think I'm going to save for Eventide and Strymon, for ultimate delay and reverb awesomness.
It's good to have goals. haha.
Programable patches would be pretty sweet. That way there is no fiddling and stomping on 20 different pedals.

So a Borracho press release went out, so looks like our mini tour is officially announced. Still waiting on our flyer to be finished up, it is pretty epic.

http://www.thesodashop.us/2013/01/23...new-7-release/

So March 28 - 30 we're hitting up DC, Pittsburgh and Philly with us, Borracho, and Been Obscene from Austria. We tacked on El Grande for DC (awesome Clutch sounding stuff), Neon Warship for Pittsburgh (Kevin from Mouth of the Architect, amazing band, one of my favorites right now), and Clamfight for Philly (another great band, just released a full length).

Can't tell you how excited I am for this. Three straight nights of some of the best lineups I've ever been a part of.
Siiiiick dude!!

I honestly never got much further. Every time I listened to another song I didn't really like it and just put 21st Century back on.
If you're looking for a song similar til 21st century schizoid man, I don't think you could do any better than Pictures of a City from their second album. it's basically the same song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7OaHnj0wPc

I'm a huge KC fan. Red and Lizard = amazing albums. especially the title song off Lizard, sung by Jon Anderson

Wow Musicians Friend's stupid deal of the day today truly was stupid. A 2000 watt PA mixer for $300. Wish I would have actually came to work on time today, they probably sold out quick.

Stymon Timeline + Eventide Space = The ultimate delay and reverb combo for knob tweakers and ********* of presets. I can't live without that combo on my guitar board now....

And yes having a ton of programmable patches is super handy, and if you use more then two or three different reverbs and delays then you just saved yourself pedalboard real estate.

This is the goal I need to sit down with the guitar and practice my a$$ off. Actually learn chords how they are built and why. Power chords can only get me so far. haha. Should help with the bass playing too.

Just found a Line 6 Pocket Pod under my bed. Forgot I had it. Gotta grab a power suply and male to male 1/8" cord to plug into my computer speakers. Time to start learning.

Should keep my busy enough to save some cash.

Any books or website recomendations?

Nice find on the pocket pod, super handy lil practice gear.

Unfortunately I'm completely self taught, so books and websites for learning I have no idea. I just move my fingers around till a chord sounds right, but now that I've picked up some general music theory (read very very little ) it's easier to find the right chord when writing a riff.

You know I'll never be happy.

I think I might switch to keyboards for more maximum tone consistency.

Plus I think Asthma Castle needs 808's every few seconds.

Alright, dudes, forgive me if this is old territory, I'm new to this thread.

Love the Sunn sound. Currently have 2 Beta Bass heads, but I'm not really getting enough volume to compete with my guitarists' Verellens (the loudest goddamn amps in the universe). I'm sure someone has asked similar questions to this, but I've never seen a comprehensive comparison between the solid state Sunns.

How would you compare Beta, Concert, and Coliseum heads? I've heard that the concert doesn't have a great low-end, but all of the old sunns are a little grindy anyway with some drive. I've also been intrigued by the possibility of getting a coliseum slave and running a beta through it. Thoughts?
