Profits of Doom & Electric Worry as the encore, as well. Damn! | Wow a set without Big News I and II, that is rare. (edit: nevermind; they are there).
I'm thinking of making the trip to Toronto in April to see them.

Went to a product reveal from PreSonus - New StudioLive 32 channel board, new near field monitors (Sceptre and Eris) and new high-end powered PA speakers. Pretty cool event. PreSonus is from Baton Rouge, so they always hook up the cajun food. Open bar, with Short Ribs on Mac n Cheese, mini mufuletta sandwiches, jambalya and crab hush puppies. Also, a surprise appearance by Keb Mo.
Catching up: King Crimson: Red and Court of.. but I really like Live in the USA.
Sunn's not loud enough? Listen to Corey and run the preamp into a high wattage power amp.
Most newer power amps have a HPF similar to the fdeck built in, so if you're going the pre/power route you don't need an extra HPF.
Record labels: that list that was posted is spot on, not sure if man's ruin was on there, but keep an eye out for that stuff. Some of it wasn't so great, though.
One last thing: My band Mercian is playing a show in Madison with the one and only VEGA from Milwaukee on Feb. 8th. Pretty pumped about that show, and it wouldn't have happened without our little corner of TB.
That's it for now, I'm ****ing exhausted. Happy to be in California and looking forward to the rest of the show.

A lot of times that HPF is way to high for real bass use, as it incorporated into the cross over network on the amp. Maybe the 50-80hz HPF works for some, but I prefer mine a little lower. Its also nice to be able to sweep that filter up. I see good results with changing it room to room.

Were not the only VEGA though, theres a band of the same name in pittsburgh. We actually got a message from them, I thought it was going to be an angry one but they want to play a show when we make it down to pittsburgh. |

My brother just moved to Fargo, ND... its like a constant -20* F there. Its funny everyone has power cords running out from under their hoods to plug in their engine warmers... those silly Nort Dekooootaans.
Hey, worked on the fEARfuls for a bit last night! Hopefully going to get them finished and work out any kinks tonight and bring em to practice to run next to the 2x15 on Saturday. First time seeing the band since before Xmas... dang

I think it'd be trippy to see a bunch of bands that were all the same name. "what band is that? Vega. Oh what about that one? Vega." Might make things a bit confusing at the merch table though...

Amzing but not surprising, just look at this thread, which is almost 2.5 years old now. |

I know I know, its doom blasphemy to mix speakers/not use 15's, but hoping the fuzz and distortion will even things out. And it'll give me a reason to get an Oh See Demon if I had 2 amps!
Its all part of my life's quest to make rhythm guitarists irrelevant

Speaking of which... I have to learn a bunch of music by feb 2nd for a tryout I'm struggling to find time to play. Nothing overly hard but I want to make sure I nail everything. I keep listening to the cds so I hope enough sinks in through osmosis... I'm great at faking it when I have to . Still keeping an eye out for a better opprotunity but I like these guys so far.

I will be using a B1500 for anything where I need big power.
