Any of yall know of some bands that play Stars of the Lid type of stuff. It can have a beat. I need some chill slow moving atmosphere.
I'll try any brand of anything. | How about some Mogwai, Sigur Ros, maybe some Johnny Greenwood soundtrack stuff, and if you dig a beat it is hard to beat Tortoise or Jaga Jazzist

And Volume 4 is probably my favorite. Nothing recorded before or since sounds like that or has that vibe. Very strange, intense album. |

I was lucky enough to see both Mogwai and Godspeed!(not at the same time) and they`re similar. When I went to the GSYBE show I was blown away. Those dudes are masters of crafting and controlling feedback.

How do you compensate for light-weight cabs that can put out big noise? Any worries about tipping themselves over? Would clamps holding the two cabinets together help? Are indents for legs or skid rails enough to keep them together?
I've been thinking about doing a JohnK style build of a 215, but then I realized that a vertical 212 might be more my speed (ie, fit in my car with the proper aesthetics I wanted to add) and would make a vertical stack possible. So, anyone have experience with vertical stacks and any engineering issues I should keep my eyes out for?

When I ran my two 2x12 BassBombs I just set them on top of each other. I think each cab was about 50 lbs or so. The feet of the top cab just rested on the top of the bottom cab.
I didn't gig with the SVT on top though, always stuck it on my guitarist's cab. |
