However, I am getting some feedback when I run two of my pedals together. Lets say the B3K and the VT. Or the MXR BFD and the anything else. It seems to be that the level of drive, when dialed off a bit kills the high pitched feedback. But I am not sure why I can't run more than a couple pedals together without mad feedback when I am not playing. What am I missing here?

The new song Blood Eagle is a pretty hearty mix of doom as **** riffs and good old heavy '70s rock. It slays. So much fun to play. So far guitar players job shouldn't be an issue unless we want to play more than once a month (maybe once we have a catalogue of songs to choose from, right now, its the 5 songs we have show ready.) So for now, we are rolling. Hope there are no issues down the road, but if there is, my drummer know a few people.

Anytime I hear a cool word or think up a cool sentence, something really doomy, it goes on the list. It started out small, and there are lots of dumb names on there that will probably never get used, but there's some gold on there as well.

I have been holding out on oogling NAMM photos... a master thread would be great...
Talked to some guys about playing motorhead-esque rock this week.... I'm really hoping this works out.

And yeah, picking band names is an absolute bitch. When I was in a band with FoF's guitarist, we literally came up with like 30 names that at least one person didn't like. We actually played two shows with a "temporary" name because we couldn't come to an agreement.
That's why with this band, as soon as someone suggested Supervoid, I said that sounds good let's go with that lol.

Aaaaaaaaaaaand, I traded my seldom used PBDDI for a Sanford and Sunny Blue Beard Fuzz! Woot! now I can see what all the fuss is about. Or rather, FUZZ is about. Har har har... This one has the tone bypass. For those in the know, how much does that change the pedal vs. not having it?
Ron got me very interested in the Oh See Demon pedal, being that it sounds like an OCD pedal that I like a lot. Attachment 313438 | i have both an x-blender and the oh see demon and i enjoy them both. Quote:

The cab pictured I'm sure sounds nice, it's just that I'm not someone who really has any GAS whatsoever for a 4x10, and I don't like tweeters on my cabs. | Quote:

Try lowering the treble / sustain on some of your dirt pedals. I find the best tone is if I bring the overall gain of a pedal just under feeding back.

We actually have yet to play anywhere further than 45 minutes outside of Pittsburgh. The DC and Philly shows will be our first time out of town. We could probably play Richmond sometime if the timing and show is right! I tried to get us on SHOD but I think it was too little too late, plus with only a 2 track EP out I don't think we had enough weight to throw around to get on there. I think I'll probably be going still. I'm more excited about SHOD than I am about MDF! |
