The seats do suck when you want to haul something... it's like this... you either have a model where the seats need to be removed manually and it's a real pita to haul them all out when you need to and find a place to put them all (like all over the porch) or you get one of those vans with the hide away seats. Only problem there is then you have the added weight of 4-5 seats + your gear riding around and killing your gas mileage. Not complaining or anything just wanted to pop in my 2 cents on the seat subject because there's nothing I hate more than taking those things out but it has also been immensely handy... like when I moved recently without getting a uhaul (big mistake btw, lol).
Oh and for the car seats... no real problems there with a infant seat, a booster, and an regular car seat.
Also, having a minivan and car right now, I miss my Jeep Grand Cherokee, so much.

And the cup holders that are just a tiny bit too small for the sippy cups my wife bought so I have a screaming 2 year old yelling "STUCK!!!". I need to throw those away. Anyway...
Let's say I can put 50 dead bodies in the back of my van. Varying ages and body types of course. I bet I could have fit 35 dead bodies in the back of my jeep, and that's enough for my purposes. That and not driving around something that to some people universally screams that their life is over.
Wow... dark mood this morning. What's up with that? Been watching too much breaking bad...

Band tryout in a week... I understand the guys are gunshy and all but this strung out process is starting to mess with my head. I feel like I'm going to go in there and they're going to have some unreal expectation of how perfectly I can do their originals on my own and never playing with the band.
Shrug. Guess I'll just go in there and if they don't like it, on to the next one. They seem like cool dudes and I'm probably just freaking over nothing. If it isn't meant to be it isn't meant to be.
See... it's weird being your own therapist. I've probably developed some kind of weird mental illness. Oh well. I think I need to write some lyrics or something.

I don't know how it is in your neck of the woods, but in Colorado guitar players become bass players due to their not being any (although, most of the bands around here are metal or cover bands). Point is, they are probably just making sure you know how to play. If what you play doesn't sound like how they envisioned it, ask them to play want they want to hear and copy them or add on to it. You'll do great. Good luck!

More rugged than your typical SUV (less frilly bells and whistles, more impact plastic), good engine, awesome 6 speed manual tranny if you drive stick, and tons of storage space. Its a basic mid-size SUV but definitely on the cheaper end of the scale as its not a luxury car. So far its been reliable and regular maintenance and repairs aren't crazy expensive, and lots of small garages can service Nissans.
edit: Nevermind its only 5 passenger max. If you're rockin 7 you outta find a retired yellow shortbus to roll the fam around in!

I've been playing along with their cd and live album and he's pretty good. I figure whether I get it or not I'll hopefully learn something out of the process. I just want back on stage, and these guys have shows lined up.
Really don't want to say who until after this tryout happens... not the biggest band or anything but they at least have some local following and play some pretty cool shows. I have never felt nervous for a tryout before... probably because I just put a bunch of singers through the same process and I know what they are probably thinking right now. I just want it over with at this point .

Everyone pissing and moaning about the heritage of the amp. Like that effects how current amps sound.

I read the bulletin they did when the said they were going to reissue a new version of an OR amp with a bunch of stupid **** in it so that its more like an RV. Why even bother calling it an OR? Its the same when Fender took a modded Twin and called it a Sunn Model T. Stupid. |
