Holy crap, another busy day on the road and this thread leaves me in the dust. Back to desk work and excessive forum posting already!
I just bought a bunch of new Hosa cables this morning. I've had the money set aside for months, just kept procrastinating on it. Spend about $98 and got 2 new instrument cables, 2 speakon cables, 2 speakon to 1/4" cables and 3 of the little pedal mating jacks (double sided 1/4"). 20 AWG on the instrument cables, 14 AWG on the speaker cables. BHPhotoVideo has the best price on them, that I've found.
Thanks. Their was an ebay seller that had the 15 foot for like $10.99. I think thats what I'll end up getting. Drummer has to pay me in installments. But thats ok. I feel bad for taking money at all. But it was like 3 and a half hours in the middle of my saturday. And, it would have been like $250 at a shop.

Good news! My 18" speaker isn't effed! It's perfectly fine. Ran some more tests on the cab and there's some separation between the panels inside it. Tipped iron it's side and flowed some diluted wood glue into the crack. Hoping its good to go after letting it sit 24 hours.
Gonna have our first jam session with new singer and replacement drummer tomorrow. Got my shiny new El Oso in the mail today, too.

Thanks! Really hoping the cab issue is solved. The glue was definitely flowing into the separated panels in the cab and we lathered the sh*t out of it. Probably in some spots that didn't need it haha
Picked up a 2004 dodge caravan recently. The seats do suck when you want to haul something... it's like this... you either have a model where the seats need to be removed manually and it's a real pita to haul them all out when you need to and find a place to put them all (like all over the porch) or you get one of those vans with the hide away seats. Only problem there is then you have the added weight of 4-5 seats + your gear riding around and killing your gas mileage. Not complaining or anything just wanted to pop in my 2 cents on the seat subject because there's nothing I hate more than taking those things out but it has also been immensely handy... like when I moved recently without getting a uhaul (big mistake btw, lol).
Oh and for the car seats... no real problems there with a infant seat, a booster, and an regular car seat.
Also, having a minivan and car right now, I miss my Jeep Grand Cherokee, so much.
Music gear isn't actually all that heavy, compared to the vehicle itself.
My cab probably weighs at least 150 pounds, perhaps closer to 200. However, that's still pretty much just the weight of a person. The head weighs 60 pounds, plus basses, pedalboard, perhaps close to the weight of another person.
So really, driving around with my full rig doesn't add any more weight than driving around with a couple passengers would.
So it looks like the maestro phaser is early 70s. The boss pedal ce2 is April of 83. Black label made in Japan one. The Ibanez ad9 is around 83 too. He said the fuzz was "hand made by a guy" in the 70s. Haven't figured a date for the korg strobe tuner yet. Still in disbelief he just gave me all this stuff.
Searched ebay. He gave me like $700 in vintage gear. It's all in really good shape. Well, except for the fuzz. Tried everything but the fuzz. Sounds awesome.

Love live 18s!
Practice got cut short today by my drummer, who somehow ripped the bottom head on his snare? It was a fairly new head as well. He took it back to the place he bought it from.
Another thing for you drummers...my drummer go through sticks like crazy, like multiple break every practice. He uses 5Bs Im pretty sure, he hits hard, but not that hard. Anyone have any tips or something, we could have a bon fire with the broken stick pile hes made.
The shop put the heads on, which is why he took it back so he could bvtch about it and get justice for this crime of unjustice.
Also just sent out an email to a drummer that was looking to do a 2 piece, hopefully he wasnt looking for Black Keys/White Stripe stuff...Om tribute so I can open for myself?
AND the Australian Earthless 7" looks to be much more promising than that Sleep LP based on jacket presentation alone!
I can tell you, that Earthless Australian tour 7" is not that flash. It's a live recording, not a particularly stellar one either. The packaging is also fairly cheap.Photocopied black and white piece of paper, with scant details on it.The record itself doesn't even have any identification of an A side or a B side, even though it's one song stretched onto two sides. If it's a choice between a Sleep LP and that,go with the Sleep LP

So I just got this bad boy in the mail today from another TBer. Digging it.
My next fifty meter target is an Oh See Demon. I might get rid of some pedals to make room. I think I will set the Elements back into the wild along with a couple of others. I will get it sorted.

I personally think it sounds really good at higher gain settings, and I don't hear any low end loss. Like I mentioned earlier, for me ideally i'd like a little more attack and less fuzz but overall I think you are on to something pretty cool.
Thanks for doing the recording. I was jamming on Oldcrow's pedal this weekend and I forgot how essential it was to my sound. I can't wait to get it back. Thanks for all the kind words.

I like it, definitely sounds useable
