I loved the neck on my RBX260, it was a 4 string...

The idea of planning out a double LP makes my head want to explode.

He also offered me a Spaceboy Wow Signal which looks really interesting, but I don't think it's cool enough to prompt me to do in international trade especially considering that I still don't see it unseating any part my Rat tail, BB, Big Spider, fuzzrocious modulated bass delay dirt selection.

We'll probably just end up doing a single LP with a sleeve. I'd love to do a gatefold and all sorts of stuff but our finances are going to be limited after finishing the album. |

We used them for Bennington. the self-titled we pressed at http://musicolrecording.com/
ok prices but they don't do covers and that's why we have the DIY covers on those.
edit: looks like musicol's prices went up. |

I own that 10" Torche vinyl, the packaging is pretty damn cool. Seems like a good balance between reasonable prices and a high standard of quality.
I see on their "specials" they say they include mastering. That's pretty interesting. |

The plant that did cstvt's The Echo and the Light, when they got it, they said they needed to remaster it for vinyl since our mix had "more bass than a Jay Z record" |

Check here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RIAA_equalization
When I built a phono preamp into my headphone tube amp I had to include a passive RIAA EQing stage to achieve the re-emphasis section before the signal is sent into the power amp and or other stages
Essentially what happens is that the mastered vinyl has the inverse or opposite of this EQ.
This is as Ron mentioned to help allow the grooves of the record to be more easily crafted. So in the RIAA EQ on the phono uses the RIAA EQ to balance the sound back.

I had anticipated having to have it mastered a second time for analog, but if Pirates Press does the mastering in their vinyl package, even better. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
