There's a lot of similar looking models that have one thing different in the BB series. Blocks instead of dots, different bridges, different pickups, different knobs, no headstock finish, figured tops. | I played one of the BBG4s at GC one day and was very pleasantly surprised by it.

I do have a Ric, but I don't use it for doom. I also don't use tube amps, and prefer 10's over 15's (although I use both)
Man I don't know you guys let me post in here. | I don't even own one piece of bass gear right now...

I keep looking for reasons to vote it off the pedal board, however it is a trooper and covers a lot of sonic ground. It has low gain settings that sound a little like OD to fuzz buzz, but it also has insane high gain and plenty of clipping options from controlled to a more sloppy sputtering.
My pedal board has become a sort of reality show of the weakest link sort of fare. The new BB with tone bypass is a keeper. Very nice. I got a new Xotic X-blender to try out, but I am up on the fence about it. That is one pedal that might be hard to appreciate until it is a band setting, (that I don't have w/ me playing bass), to have two distinct signals.
I am trying to force myself to wait to make anymore bass gear purchases. But I think the next box of happiness coming my way will have a Fuzzerocious Oh See Demon or a Rusty Box inside. That tax refund wont spend itself.

While I do have a tube amp, I also use the light weight pre/power rig, fEARful cabs, and a stingray 5 string.

i want this SO BAD. considering the JBL looks in good condition and they go on ebay for $200USD in even average condition, that's basically a $50 box.
too bad it'd run me up $700NZD on import taxes and shipping :P |

They sounded ok with the tweeter off, at least for what I was trying to get out of them. In both cases I was playing in standard or drop D, with a DOD 250 into a solid state head, never tried any of them tuned low.

Man I don't know you guys let me post in here. | It's okay, dude. I don't even use my Bluebeard at present, I don't have a Ric (never have), and I love my 10" speakers. As far as amps go, I have three tube amps right now. I guess that speaks for itself.

Got a note from the neighbors, we're too loud I guess, we were shaking her windows. The only neighbors we think could have wrote it was from across the street...so let me repeat we were shaking her windows from a slightly sound dampened basement from across the street...
We kindly turned down, it isnt the same. The full body assault, the relentlessness is gone. Not to mention I feel Im not pushing my rig hard enough, like I might drop a 215 to push some speakers harder or something...Wait, Does that even make sense?
