@Vallaton : Yep I thought about a cheap Ric but I bought a brand new one 2 months ago so I'm a bit broke
On another note, yesterday I tried out for the doom band I had talked about previously ( http://stbarthelemystemple.bandcamp.com/).
And it looks like I'm the new member
They were impressed I had learned their whole set (for me it was the normal thing to do), the rehearsal went really well, and even the black metal parts came out smoothly !
And now I have a gig with them at a medium size venue (350 people) on May 26th, and they want to record a full length this summer.
Life's cool

Every time we've been approached by neighbours we let them know we're being as considerate as we can be already by jamming during the day instead of doing it at night when people are trying to sleep...

We kindly turned down, it isnt the same. The full body assault, the relentlessness is gone. Not to mention I feel Im not pushing my rig hard enough, like I might drop a 215 to push some speakers harder or something...Wait, Does that even make sense?
This Tame Impala is tripping me out. | We have some absolute shitstorms with neighbours over the past couple years.2 families have moved out of town because of us.Our guitarists dad built us a shed, lined with carpet in the back yard to practice in.The neighbours tried to have us done for shonky building, running and illegal business and being too loud. They claimed we hit 80 decibels in thier lounge room, which was about 20 metres away, and they claimed their windows vibrated from my 50 watt 4x10.
Now they've left, and we just have a Scottish guy who dances to our music on his shed roof in his Kilt.Yes,full traditional. It's flopped out many times.
Edit: which Tame Impala are you listening to?

And of course we will all be waiting for clips as soon as possible!
Congratulations! |

I'm more in awe that some of these pieces haven't been changed in 1200 years

I keep looking for reasons to vote it off the pedal board, however it is a trooper and covers a lot of sonic ground. It has low gain settings that sound a little like OD to fuzz buzz, but it also has insane high gain and plenty of clipping options from controlled to a more sloppy sputtering.
My pedal board has become a sort of reality show of the weakest link sort of fare. The new BB with tone bypass is a keeper. Very nice. I got a new Xotic X-blender to try out, but I am up on the fence about it. That is one pedal that might be hard to appreciate until it is a band setting, (that I don't have w/ me playing bass), to have two distinct signals.
I am trying to force myself to wait to make anymore bass gear purchases. But I think the next box of happiness coming my way will have a Fuzzerocious Oh See Demon or a Rusty Box inside. That tax refund wont spend itself. | I have an Element's on my guitar board that's not going anywhere. It's versatility, stackability and awesome uber high gain tones make it hard to beat for me.
As far as the "doom rigs" I dunno I run an Emperor 2x15, Ampeg SS head, and a P-bass. I guess its kinda "doom".
