Road Bull - I really like the clean blend option, I blend about 20% or so of my clean back in, just enough to give it a little extra definition and bottom end clarity. It also really helps in getting a great low gain OD tone. So on a 2 distortion setting model, it would be really awesome. I'm sure Ry would be able to hook it up for you. Great dude for sure. |

Are their big differences between digital and analog? I don't think I need tap settings and as with others, space is a major factor so it kind of needs to be a small footprint. Quote:

Having listened to Monobrow, I would recommend looking for something with a tap tempo. As it makes it so much easier to lock in a sync'd up delay time, which really can make all the difference when making delay work within a band.
Way Huge Supa-Puss & EHX Deluxe Memory Boy are the two analog tap tempo delays I would recommend for checking out (especially since after those two there's about a $400 price gap before the next models -JHS, Diamond, Moog, EHX). Also that new Ibanez Echo Shifter which is coming out later this month looks rather interesting (I'll probably be picking one up when they are out).
If you're not looking for analog, the only digital delay that has impressed me in around 5 years is the Catalinbread EchoRec, which is based on a Binson Echo Rec, and I have to say, that thing sound so close to a real tape echo, that it's upsetting. The coolest thing (other than it's amazing acuracy) it that it can do really cool rythmic delays, so you can get cool patterns and accents depending on how you set it. I've also heard great things about the EQD Disaster Transport, but I've never had experience with it. (note neither of these have tap tempo).
Also, it just so happens that I have two of the delays mentioned for sale in the classifieds (supa-puss, and echorec). And really the only reason I'm selling them is that I'm downsizing my gear and I already have a real Tape echo, and my delay of choice is the Moog 104M, which for me is perfect. | This is great info, thanks! What's it sound like? Just straight, clean delay?
I'm hoping to check out some stuff this weekend, I'll report back!

Conrats, Blender.
Which reminds me...today is my guitar player's wife's due date that he forgot about until the show was booked.
I'm not in a good mood today.

I once played a show they same night that I laid the palm of my fretting hand open on a meat slicer... The show was actually what kept me from going to get it stiched... I figured if I went to get it taken care of, I wouldn't have made the show... and I think we were playing with Merauder or something decently cool..... Lesson learned, butterfly closures are amazing...
