I tried three pedals, the MXR Carbon Copy, the EHX Memory Boy and the EarthQuaker Devices Disaster Transport Jr. I guess I'm going with analog delays.
I tried the MXR first. Nice pedal. The modulation is nice if unspectacular. I don't like how feedback and rate are tied to the same control. MXR seems to mix controls often, which I find annoying. I thought it sounded good overall.
Then I tried the Disaster Transport. Man, what a pedal. It does not have modulation control (apparently the non-Jr version of the pedal does), but you can still get some pretty gnarly tones out of it. I think this will be the one I get.
The Memory Boy was... well, it's just not for me. I couldn't really put my finger on why, though. I didn't like the vibrato at all and the chorus wasn't great either. I know it's a popular pedal and EHX makes good stuff but this one just isn't for me.
Anyway, I want to try a few more but so far the EarthQuaker one is in the lead. | For analog delay I use a malekko 616 its roughly the same size and price range as the carbon copy. They pop up ever so often on gcused. |

I only use it for the crazy tape delay take off stuff.
I guess im just a fuzz guy |

At the moment i need six patch cables, so twelve right angled ends.
for such a low amount of patch cables, would you recommend making my own? solder some .155 gauge guitar cable to a bunch of ends, then be done with it?
or are there more economical options? a pack of 5 george L's is $120 here, while it would be $72 for 12 switchcraft right angles. I can't find where to buy cable though. | Amazon sells a GLS patch cable kit with pancakes for $25 |
