Do you ever get that feeling, when you're in your room playing Electric Wizard riffs and you think to yourself 'one bass amp just isn't enough for this'?

I found myself liking the built in distortion on my B100 tonight with my strat...when I first got it, I thought it sounded like sharting. Whats wrong with me?

Definitely go for the DA bass!

I just bought 5 albums on Amazon: Blessed Black Wings by High On Fire, Holy Mountain by Sleep, Welcome to Sky Valley by Kyuss, Murder The Mountains by Red Fang, and finally Oceanic by Isis. I've only heard Welcome to Sky Valley before, so I'm taking a bit of a leap of faith here, based mostly on the Stoner/Doom threads

In 2 days I'm flying across the Atlantic to San Francisco for one week and then Boston for another.

Are there any cool things I should not miss ?

Nice! Should give you a little taste of everything. Aggressive stoner metal, amp worship stoner metal, desert rock, stoner rock, and atmospheric doom. Only thing you're really missing is a solid retrorock album like Graveyard and some psychedelic rock like Earthless!

Thanks for the suggestions (and for the quick breakdown of what I just call 'heavy music' ), I'll put those on the 'wanted' list for my next Amazon album hunt.

And by the way Laz, that clip you posted of Supervoid in the BB vs GS fuzz thread: great tone!

Man, today is one of those wonderful Pennsylvania days where I'm wearing shorts because it's like 65 out, but then we'll get hit with a severe thunderstorm and by 3 am tonight it will be snowing.

Monday we were 56. Yesterday we got 4 inches. Last night another 2. The drive to work was pretty fun. I feel like I'm driffting
