Either I'm going to be prepared for every situation ever, or I'm going completely bare bones and getting everything from about 3 pedals....simplicity vs prepared for anything. | I hear ya, trying to scale back is making me nuts.

The TH ended up sounding too fake and fizzy in the end so I pulled it. I ended up getting a pretty close tone without the breakup with playing with the sweeping mids on the 9.0. I think between the 9.0 and the JDI I might be dumping the TH for something else. I wouldn't mind something with a fender tone stack. TH tone hammer does sound good in front of a tube amp last time I messed with it that way. |

But yeah, it's like Ozzfest meets warped tour meets lilith fair or some bull ****.

I'm kind of thinking of visiting in summer, after my 21st, I'll let you know.
As well as Pittsburgh, I want to come down to see you PA doomers.

Well dirt is not the primary reason I bought it, but so far i like how it sounds clean and as an EQ. it's easier to dial in than my Para EQ, which on a dark stage is a pain in the a$$. The DI out sounds good and i like the EQ voicing too. The AGS is kind of nice to have as a backup in case of amp or pedal trouble. |

Ancient Tone - what was the name or your grind band? Recordings? | I was in a grind band called The Seventh Gate that later changed its name to Palkoski. You can find recordings and everything at www.heavyhound.com I was the drummer / recording engineer for the albums Random Antagonist Complex and The Oblivious Ape (who covets its own). Quote:

It's weird. |
They have different stages for different genres (apart from the top of the top headliners that go to the main stage) but I guess these aren't all of the groups yet to list them under each stage. And yes, there is a DOOM stage...
Here is last summer's lineups for each stage http://www.allmetalfest.com/hellfest-2012/#.UNIgm2_Zb64
Not the greatest metal fest of Europe (eg Donnington or Wacken) but man I wish I had seen the doom lineup sooner |

My thing with it lately I keep trying to use it as a super EQ'd dirt box and it always falls short. I kinda wish the AGS was just a clean boost. |

My guitarists sound better straight into the amp. We keep trying to use a fuzz and it just compresses the hell out of their tone (not in a good way). There ain't nothing I can do to make it work. |

My guitarist uses a Bluebeard but runs into a fully clean Peavey tube amp. Kind of funny, without the BB on his tone is crystal clean.
