I'm going to a full solid state rig for a multitude of purposes, so I'm trading mine for an emperor 2x15 and some loot.
Than your not trying hard enough. | I play a lot of whole notes ha ha

I use delay as more of a space adding layer to music. Big slow parts add a washed out modulated delay that's synced up properly and it adds a whole new dimension to the sound. Hence why I prefer dark analog delays. |

I know katatonia and don't know the other. It will be nice to hook back up with him. Been a while since we jammed. We were in a band or two together back in high school. Sounds fun and I'm pretty stoked. |

It's great when it's just drum and bass, but when the guitar gets in there it kinda gets lost. That's kinda why I wanna give the BB a try. I think the tone will be a little more of what I'm after. I still plan to keep and use the Ox, though. |

So I notice alot of you dudes seem to like running the MXR carbon copy for delay. How are you guys liking it on bass? Do you find it has enough clarity?
I have both an analog delay and a digital one and I find I don't really use the analog much at all. It's an EHX memory toy though and was fairly cheap.
do you guys think the Carbon Copy would be an improvement? | I wasn't a fan of the CC. I didn't like a real hot signal into it. I used a memory toy for a while it was pretty good. |

But that's all a matter of opinion. So if you're not digging your Memory Toy (which is a pretty sweet little analog delay IMO) chances are you're not going to like the CC all that much more.
Then again my delay's currently are a Moog 104M & 104SD and a Roland RE-101 Space echo. Although I really am intrigued to try out the Endangered Audio delay...and probably will end up with a Way Huge Supa-Puss at some point too. | EAR delay was pretty cool but I flipped it. I still really miss my Lunar Echo. Really great delay. |

For my guitar pedalboard primarily, but I would try it on bass too. I'm starting to lean towards using reverb rather than delay for bass though, every delay I try ends up sounding like more of a dry repeat than an echo to me.

The infinite/hold mode on the EAR delay really intriuges me. Do you have any more thoughts on it...perhaps disuade me from dropping $ on another delay I don't need. |

Whats a good Xmas present for my parents? Early 60's, empty nesters, gradually growing to hate each other. Last holiday me and my bro got them a bed and breakfast weekend, which I'm not sure turned out well or not, so not sure if a group activity is best at this point. Hmm hard to buy presents for people with no real hobbies other than Obama hating.

Which as of the last 5 years or so has been those mini Altoids. Also, shop towels. My mom, usually a gift certificate to Starbucks or Zappos and a nice hand written card.
