Stu Hamm on G3 DVD

Just saw the G3 concert (vai, satriani, Johnson). Stu Hamm plays with Satriani on it and plays great but what the hell is he wearing?!
I don't know if anyone's seen the Simpsons episode in which he puts on loads of weight to get off work on disability grounds. He wears this funny, flowery poncho. Well, that's Stu Hamm.
That said, he is a great bass player.

What's the name of the guy playing with Vai? I remember reading Bryan Beller's website at the time the G3 thing was happening and he mentioned how some guy got the gig over him. I guess the black guy on G3 is him. He must be good, the audition for Vai's band sounds HARD. Free jamming in 13/16 etc. Vai probably took a leaf out of Zappa's book on the audition front.

Vai's sometime G3 bass player is Philip Bynoe.
