I agree that most of his solo pieces showcase his tapping technique, but he's also a terrific slapper. Check these couple examples out:

(Both videos are available on YouTube but, since I'm such a big fan of Stu, I always encourage fellow bassists to support him by buying his stuff) "Slap, Pop & Tap For The Bass" was/is a bible to me. I practically devoured that video in the early nineties and I can tell for sure that Stu's style and charisma opened many doors that I didn't even know existed.
