I love his style of slapping the bass. Which are your favourite songs??
Can you recomend some with left hand slap, 16ths and open strings??

Stu's bread & butter has never been slapping - he's a more of a tapper...

I agree that most of his solo pieces showcase his tapping technique, but he's also a terrific slapper. Check these couple examples out:

Hey Music_for_life! If you like Stu's style as much as I do, I definitely recommend you to get his instructional videos, specially the first one:

http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/...-Bass/19224075

http://www.sheetmusicplus.com/title/...-Bass/19224074

(Both videos are available on YouTube but, since I'm such a big fan of Stu, I always encourage fellow bassists to support him by buying his stuff) "Slap, Pop & Tap For The Bass" was/is a bible to me. I practically devoured that video in the early nineties and I can tell for sure that Stu's style and charisma opened many doors that I didn't even know existed.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you need further info.

Despite the guitar hero thing it's the actual song from the album. Some nice Stu slapping and a generally cool song. I like the slapping he does on this track because it's very musical and not simply a percussive exercise.
