Okay, I'm not really done yet. To my own fault, I think I only have one Stu Hamm cd. I have kings of sleep? Something like that, personally I'm just not a huge fan of that album. I never said that Stu doesn't have chops. I'll be the first to admit he's more than twice the bass player I am, or probably ever will be. But, based on what I've heard Wooten is just more... my style I guess. He is very good at making sure his songs are held down, most of the tracks on Yin Yang are held down without flash imo (but of course theres some flash). But, again comparing Wooten and stu is unfair, unless you've seen both live, and own all the recordings. I own way to much wooten crap, and seen him live, while I'm sure I'd think of stu much differently had I seen him live.

Hopefully that clears some stuff up.
Dan

ST&P will hopefully be re-released again soon, remastered for DVD. It has been hard to find because it is popular, and Hot Licks had a "lot" of mangagement problems. But they finally tanked and another company bought up a good chunk of their catalog - including ST&P (I'm not sure on deeper, but I'd imagine they snagged it too). So it is just a matter of A. finding it on eBay and B. waiting for the DVD release.

and hopefully if/when they do deeper they can fix the audio on it.

Hmm, they better bring both of them out! Anyway, this is very good news!

And hey, they might even have some Beaver Felton stuff! Oh and Jeff, didn't you say your copy of "Deeper..." has some audio distortion?

Yes it does. There was a thread on CZ about it. Others had the same issue.

It sounds like when Victor Wooten was about 4-years old.

Aah... so many memories. That's the tone that blew my mind. And still love it!
