Stuck in Cubicle-need new music!

Hello Fellow Bass Players, I am looking for some new and intriguing music to listen to as I sit here in my cubicle. I am looking for something with some driving bass licks and awesome bass solos. Something out of the ordinary. I just stumbled upon the Violent Femmes and their song “Please do not go”, this is exactly what I am looking for. Please share your suggestions, I need something, anything! Thanks

I have not heard the track you mentioned... but if you are looking for intriguing or 'out of the ordinary' try Tool if you haven't already, very intriguing, interesting effects and very un-bass bass, if that makes any sense? Give it a go, tracks id suggest are:

Schism = Tool- Schism - YouTube
The Pot = Tool- The Pot - YouTube
Lateralus = Lateralus - Tool - YouTube

All Tool and great tracks, Tool Bass is very interesting with fantastic ideas, great effects use and just an all round awesome band to listen to, enjoy!

+1 to the violent fems. Pretty much all their stuff is good.

I tell this to everyone but you should check out Man Man. Great music.

For something completely different (and a band I hadn't even thought about in years), try Ned's Atomic Dustbin. Two bassists; one plays more "standard" low end bass lines, the other plays upper register melodies and chords.
