You know youre a bassist when...

I just bought her album, Transformation. Its in my Jazz Bass greats playlist, including:

The Essentil Jaco Pastorius- Jaco
Palmystery- VW
Thunder- SMV
... and a few random Miles Davis songs I had laying around.

I know it means nothing, but she is in a playlist with the best bassists ever! Plus, she makes the playlist not such a sausgefest.

That's Richard Wilkins. Widely regarded in Australia as a first class tool. (He's really a Kiwi)

I have big props for anyone that changes peoples pre-conceptions, which Tal does really well.

Cheers,

Gavin

She's definitely the real deal as far as her bass playing, as far as her being the "man" ? She might make the top ten "best" list on this site.

She's good.

Now play it again, but close your eyes. Wipe the drool off your chin while you're at it.

Not extraordinary. Just very good.

I think that is a brilliant solo. It "Builds" just like any great solo on any instrument should. There are technically better blokes out there but they aren't as good a musician as her.
