Who else uses the Android or IPhone app for the TalkBass forums? Or uses other apps like Tabs and tuners?
Feel free to suggest apps and discuss the apps that you use regularly as a bassist.
Personally I use TB, G tuner, and Tabular a ton on my LG Optimus T and its helps insanely whether I'm at home or on the go. |

I also love the "tab tool kit" app; its basically like having GuitarPro and Power Tab at your fingertips. AmpliTube is a good one too if you are up to buying the connector for your guitar or bass. The iphone offers some apps that just contain jam tracks too that are worth checking out. As for making a club, YES! Please do, as I am not yet a member of any clubs. I play to join the GK club as soon as I get a pic of my rig
Oh, and you know how on the TB app you can view all of the "current threads" (not be be confused with "newest")? Well, can you sort threads like that on the actual website?

Just got an irig and downloaded Amplitube, pocketGK, and Ampkit. Think I like Amplitube best, but haven't had much of a chance to play around with them yet. Was wondering if anyone else uses an irig? What amp do you like best and why?
I use Amazing Slow Downer to lift bass parts. Like the fact that I can change key because we do that alot to accommodate our vocalists.
Also use Ear Trainer (not sure it's helping!),
Virtuoso, Bass Addict (jury's still out that one), and Steinway Metronome.

I think it's still easier to navigate on my laptop, though.

I have been trying to find a way to use gStrings free for tuning a little more effectively....tuning a B string thru a tiny mike hole is a challenge to acoustics/physics to say the least.
I use SoundHound for ID'ing songs I like the sound of but don't know artist or lyrics for.
I imagine I could use one of the sound meter apps for checking on FOH sound level if I can get to trust the calibration....I'm down to two that seem pretty good and consistent if not accurate on an absolute scale.
I use the camera for gear photos....I use a checklist program for making sure I've got all I need for a gig. I use ebay and craigslist apps for GAS surveillance and potential gigs. I use maps and Nav for getting to gigs and recording studios. Miren browswer for lyrics.

I'll admit I check TB when I have a quick break at work too! I love the ease of the app, and honestly rarely visit the actual site on my computer anymore. I don't think you can sort the actual site that way, at least not from what I've seen of it.
I've started using a metronome on my android as well now, which is super helpful when I'm doing warmups in the morning or after work, especially now that I'm playing alot of slap. |
