Has anyone heard of this great Norwegian bassist?
He plays both elektric and upright. I just bought his solo "interplay" with Christian Jacob on keys. Wow! This album just sounds so good....Just piano and bass...it's beautiful. He even has a version of a remark you made and midnight mood in there. I've heard that Gewelt has studied a bit with jaco. (My guess is that he took lessons with him during the late years. A lot of people did, like michael manring and marcus miller. )

Anyways, just wanted to spread the word about a great norwegian bassist.

I took some lessons with him this summer. GREAT bassist! He has taken lessons with Jaco, Jeff Berlin, Ray Brown and Dave Holland!
