Chris Robinson's New Earth Mud is also very killer. They opened up for Gov't Mule a bunch, excellent band from the ground up and they play all kinds of awesome covers. |

I love Gov't Mule. My dad bought me the Rising Low DVD randomly one day. I watched it and was amazed. I have acouple cd's now, and always find myself going back to them. My jam buddies and i seem to really be able to groove on Mule stuff compared to most other songs. If you really want to get some good footage of Gov't Mule i recommend the Deepest End (i think) double cd with the concert dvd. That show was amazing, sooooo many great bassplayers. everyone from Jason Newstead to Victor Wooten. |

I am not sure if the whole band (Kevn Kinney's Sun Tangled Angel Revival) will be there but Kevn Kinney will definitely be playing. I know Gov't Mule is playing this year. I will difinitely be in attendance and hopefully I might get to play a few tunes. |

After those I got myself the 'Rising Low' DVD, the first two albums of which 'Dose' is my absolute favourite and finally the Deepest End set is wonderful too. I still have to check out the new album, having read some mixed reviews I might end up not buying it actually... |

Kevn Kinney (Drivin N Cryin/STAR) - Guitar/vocals
Alvin Youngblood Hart - Guitar/vocals
Audley Freed (Black Crowes) - Guitar
Stanton Moore (Galactic) - Drums
Ivan Neville (Neville Brothers) - Organ
John Popper (Blues Traveler) - Harmonica
and me, Bryan J. Howard (Slackdaddy/Kevn Kinney's S.T.A.R) on Bass!
The show was fun and will be rebroadcast NYE on WNCW out of Spindale, NC. This event was the night before Warren Haynes 16th annual Christmas Jam
Other folks who played that night were:
Jorma Koukanen
Warren Haynes & Gov't Mule
Living Colour
Neville Brothers
Galactic
What a night it was! | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | |
