Hopefully the sound will be better than SNL!

I thought they rocked and sounded okay on SNL. But my guitarist thought they sounded horrible. Oh well.

SNL sounded like a wall of noise to me. You'd think a band with one of the best bassists of all time would arrange a mix so he can be heard!

I saw them on SNL too, and thought they were great, but the sound wasn't very good. I was really impressed with John's bass ..... I'm a burst fiend; what can I say.

I wasn't implying that TCV played poorly. I was merely referencing the muddy SNL mix.

JPJ really rocks, but that vocalist leaves me cold. Blah. Great drums and bass though.

I got to see them live at Austin City Limits 2009. I have to say, for the line-up I was very excited. Once they started playing, it sounded like an all-star line-up of Queens of the Stone Age.

I love TCV. Been a fan of John Paul Jones since 1969. But to me, Josh Homme always seems to be doing an imitation of Sammy Hagar. Still, the band kills.

Cool, just set to record tonight as we are heading off to Endymion (one of the big Mardi Gras parades in N.O.). I followed the link and was checking out Esperanza Spalding and WOW!! I must admit that I'm quite late to the party, but she was amazing. I need to watch that whole episdode online! Spalding and JPJ in consecutive shows is absolutely bass overload!!!

Caught their ACL set-interesting band. Controlled chaos. Really nice to see Grohl behind a drum kit again and JPJ put some nice warped 10 string Melobar steel on one of the tunes.
