Are there any Linley fans around here?

Linley is an incredibly groovy bass player multi-instrumentalist (upright player and keyboardist too). Though he is more active on the national French music scene (he is originally from Mauritus Island near Africa), his most well-known work is with the famous US fusion band Joe Zawinul and the Zawinul Syndicate. The guy is so versatile; plays many genres of music. And all that on his beaten up 70 jazz bass (most of the time).

Please share your impressions and/or any vids you liked about Linley.

I have followed Joe Zawinul since his days with C. Adderly. When Joe formed Zawinul Syndicate I was thrilled to see Linley M. wind up playing with him. He's a real MF'er.

Indeed!
I saw him play kinda by accident at the Botanique Auditorium in Belgium. I was expecting Etienne Mbappe, the bassist with the silky gloves who was normally scheduled that night.

I was seriously blown away by Linley's playing!!! I've been a fan ever since!
