Please. Give a frickin break. That's just an absolute joke. Even if you do say "well he's a good dad for doing that" all he really wants is money.
He has no musical talent, and despite having enough money to wipe his a$$ with $100 dollar bills, he wants more.
I've now lost even more respect that I didn't have for him.

The jealousy here on TB is astounding. Yes, it's jealousy when you think "I could play better then him, and am a better musician."

Given the opportunity, I'll bet 80% of the posters here would be happy to over expose themselves, play easy bass lines on a bass they designed, make some (less then wonderful) music every night, and sell a bunch of crappy merchandise for a big profit. The payoff: make millions a year, and sleep with a cute young thing every night that also happens to have millions in the bank account.

Why does anyone care what a pretty boy entertainer does, unless they're jealous?

I care because I hate him, and I would never ever dress, play or promote myself like that greedy #"&(#"¤ so it's nice to come here and share this hatred with fellow bass players

Hahaha, comics rule.

To people who claim they'd, "never promote myself like that", its pretty clear that NOBODY in their right mind would give you the opportunity to sell out! At least be honest; dudes got cash, a hot wife, millions of fans...all the things you lack!

I barely know who Pete Wentz is but there is much more to life than a hot wife, lotssa money and fans. I don't miss any of these and would likely refuse them.

+1000. Exactly. He figured out how to take some marginal musical talent, and some entertaining talent and make millions and millions. More power to him...

I know that if someone approached me and said "hey - we can put your picture on [product X] and potentially make a big wad of cash off of it," I'd reply with a big "let's do it ASAP!"

If you're profiting off your music at all, you're selling out in some form or another. Simple economics. Mr. Wentz is just really, really good at it.

Seeing how he's more successful in the music biz than any of us here I'd say he has more musical talent than any of us here. People vote with their wallets and there are more people voting for him than you.

"The underlying theme of the story looks at human beings' most essential question: Can you create artificial love?"

i can think of a few questions that are more essential then figuring out if you can make robots that can do it

Yes, great logic. Wentz has undoubtedly sold more records than Vic Wooten, too.

This. The guy's just good at what he's doing. It sucks that he doesn't have to be "talented" to make it where he is, but he's there anyway.

That said, this comic idea of his still sounds stupid.

and this is the story of the comic book he's making (so he say) for his kids to see? Love-bots?

All Wentz-baed predjucie aside, I still think the comic book idea is pretty stupid.

What is wrong with PEte? He is a great player and does Pete Wentz better than anyone can especially anyone here. Hey! I might as well say it because the same exact thing is used for Gene Simmons, Roger Waters, and Cliff Williams etc. Pete just plays for the song, chops are useless and dont sell records, tapping and slapping is stupid...blah blah blah
