Couldn't find one of these, so why not get all the thrashers in one spot.

Join the club if you are in a thrash band, or wanting to be in one, or just love the feeling of headbanging and moshing to some unreal thrash.

Well, I like thrash but it's really hard to get into a thrash band at the moment.. everybody's all "death grindcooore waaarh". All that ****, luckily I've started a side project with a guitarist but we still need a drummer :/

Let me know if you start something. I like to listen to the new bands, as well as the old. From Gama Bomb, Evile, Mantic Ritual, Rumpelstiltsking Grinder, Bonded by Blood, to Sodom, Tankard, Artillery, Destruction, Kreator, I listen to all.

(Too bad most of the bass is usually buried on the recordings!)

I am more of a classical violinist, but thrash, speed, and classic metal is the reason I play bass. Strangely enough, I like more the passive, so called "organic" sound, more than the usual active pickup sound with a harsh, super biting edge (probably my acoustic instrument roots, and the ubiquitous influence of Steve Harris. :P)

(Still, some "active tones" are quite good.)

If I could, I would start a band myself. I know that Thrash is not the most loved of music genres. It's quite fun, more fun than dancing music to me, haha! Headbanging is some sort of dance form! :P (Note that I am not bashing dance music.)

All I have to say is support the few bands that are playing right now. If anything, we are in the best Thrash era since the eighties at the moment, it's just not very mainstream, and that actually might be a good thing for us Thrash lovers. There are many new great young bands all over the world. As long as there's support and passion for headbanging, there shall always be Thrash.

Good luck!!!
