any body know of any bassists who use thunderbirds in anything other than rock or alternative? i know gibson basses r mainly used for rock but i was just wondering

I've seen the bass player for Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver (bluegrass gospel band) onstage with a Thunderbird.

When they first came out they were used in pop.... Sam the Sham and the Pharoahs from the US, Merseybeats from the UK

Also the Chambers brothers (who were soul/funk/rock, depending on the year and song)

Big Sugar, a Canadian band that played blues/rock/reggae.

Garry Lowe played a Tbird quite a lot.... pretty cool to have an older Rasta guy playing bass in a loud rock band.
