He's great, but I never hear anything about him. I mean, what bassist doesn't know (or at least heard) Killing in the Name of?

Plus, he got onto a lot of spit lists here by asserting in BP that Geddy Lee was copying him by using tones that most of us know Geddy was using before Commerford was born.

He's a good bassist and in his day was gracing the covers of magazines and all that. But underrated? Not at all.

That's kind of funny considering I read somewhere that he learned to play bass listening to Rush CDs over and over when he was a teenager.

When Audioslave were interviewed on Muchmusic (Canadian MTV), Tim said that Geddy was the reason he started playing bass. He also spoke highly of Rush and Geddy in 'Beyond the Lighted Stage'.
What is Commerford up to these days though? I think him and Wilk are one of the best rhythm sections ever, love to see them do something else.

Does anyone know if Tim.com does anything musical outside of playing the same old RATM tunes from more than 10 years ago?

Other than that, I don't think he did much else.

I am a broke-ass Timmy C.* and am damn proud of it.
* When I'm not playing in my country band.
Yeah, accusing Geddy of stealing anything (if that's true) is kind of sad.

I only realized who Tim was after I started listening to audioslave. I wasn't a big RATM fan but I do really like Chris Cornell, so that got me listening to Tim.
