Tim Lefebvre in Chicago!

Was up far too late seeing Tim Lefebvre with the Donny McCaslin Group last night:

Amazing show, three sets of the freshest jazz/electronic/improv/all out risk taking I've ever seen. All the musicians were great but I've waited years to see Tim and it was not a disappointment. P Bass both solo and with OC2, Pork Loin and EHX Frequency Analyzer gave a wide rage of sounds and his playing style was amazing to watch. Had some great chats between sets. Watch out for his solo CD later this year that he says will be heavy EDM influenced!! Everyone in Chicago, they're there again tonight from 8-midnight at the Green Mill. GO HEAR THEM!!!!!!

Tim is the reason I'm on the prowl for a Frequency Analyzer. I'm curious to look into the Pork Loin now too, since you saw him with one. Always on the search for a bass-friendly overdrive.

John - Do you think that there are big different between a jazz or a P bass doing what you and Tim are doing with effects?
