He, Derek and Yonricho (DTB's drummer) were their watching Derek's younger brother's gig (Duane Trucks, he's a drummer).
Hopefully when he gets back into town, we'll hook up to jam and maybe get a lesson from him. |

I saw material on line that says he uses a Modulus 6 string. I sure don't see that in his on-stage gear. He has a teal(?) colored bass that looks fender-y and a cream colored with a big body that if I'm not way off base (so to speak) looks like a Sadowsky NYC?

Great player who rocked the pocket all night and was especially refreshing after hearing a local guy I know crap all over the music with his 6 string during the opening act. Todd started to groove and I felt MUCH better immediately. |

| | | | Great player who was apparently taught by Oteil and Victor. Love that he smiles all through a DTB show. Small hands, but really works the 6 string with seeming ease! |

I know that Oteil and Todd are great friends and have probably shared a bunch, but I never knew that he was taught how to play bass from Vic and Oteil. |

My band opened up for them, so Todd and I hung out for a little while before they went on. Great bass player and all around good guy. Wish I would have kept in touch.
