What'd you do at school today, Johnny?

Oh, not much. Hung out with Yonrico Scott and Todd Smallie.

Holy crap.

I've loved these guys for years now, and it's so awesome to see them in this setting. Two amazing musicians sharing their artistry with the next generation...I love it.

Very cool indeed…. That’s some music department! But…

…I vehemently disagree with the statement “All music comes from the blues”, coupled with “All blues comes from Africa”. The thought that two world-class musicians can leave an impressionable kid with a potentially lifetime impression that Bach, Brahms, and Beethoven… indeed ALL European music(!!)… is insignificant, let alone nonexistent is abhorrent.

As I would say to the likes of Billy Joel, Peter Townsend and company: “Shut up and play”.
