oh yes, tom was great in the fz ensembles - frank had always famous bass players like scott thunes, patrick o`hearn and so on - the drummers like colaiuta, bozzio, wakerman and so on - really great rhythm sections

i miss frank - the gods may save him

Give Andy Narrell's "The Hammer" a listen for a deep experience of Keith Jones' playing. Awesome!

Keith is one of the most underrated players around... His resume' is as long as your arm... His groove, timing and MONSTER tone and knowledge of World music is astounding. As of late Keith has a nice studio, and is producing, playing and recording... His latest album he recorded and produced for Leon Mobley was just nominated for a Grammy. I am happy to say Keith and I have been friends for 20 years... He is a generous soul!!

When exactly did Keith Jones play for Jean-Luc Ponty? I thought the bass chair went directly from Tom Fowler to Ralphe Armstrong.

Fowler appeared on one of Steve Hackett's early solo albums...I never heard it, but always thought that was an excellent addition to Tom's resume.
