AEROSMITH bassist Tom Hamilton will be sitting out a few gigs at the beginning of the band's upcoming "The Route of All Evil" tour. Hamilton has just completed a seven-week course of radiation treatment for throat cancer. He will be with his family recovering and will join the tour in mid-October. He and his band mates look forward to his return. Filling in for Hamilton will be David Hull, a longtime friend of the band who played in the JOE PERRY PROJECT.

Get well soon, Tom! |

Ironically enough, many readers voiced their opinions regarding the cigarette "advertisement" in the recent issue of Bass Player magazine featuring Hamilton.
On a lighter, related note, a good friend of mine just slipped a disc in his back----- moving a treadmill for Steven Tyler!!!! |

Just a bit of information for all of you, yes smoking is know to be a cause of cancer, but, we are all born with cancer, what activates or causes the cancer to mature is the mistery. There's several of us TB'ers that are dealing with treatments for cancer of different origins, so my thoughts and prayers go out to all of us.

| | | | I just saw Aerosmith at Nissan Pavilion tonight (well, last night, since its after midnight now), and no Tom Hamilton, they had a stand-in bass player. I didn't catch his name.
Joe Perry announced that Hamilton was resting up at home and made no comment about his return.
