After so many of his students bragged on him, I picked up two Dave Weckl CDs and I am impressed! I still haven't got to meet him but I will sooner or later at some school music function. |

IIRC, much of it is in a Post Bop/Latin vibe.
On one of those Weckl discs(IIRC, it has a blue cover), there's a rough live recording(almost garage-like) of the band where Kennedy is takin' no prisoners.
"Swunk" is a very cool blend of Swing + Funk...that one's on Synergy.

He is a VERY nice person and certainly approachable. He was my favorite person of the entourage to hang with. Aside from his awesome talent, he is truelly a genuine "nice guy".
If you meet him, you will know what I mean.
