Trey Gunn's lead tone

For the most part, Trey Gunn has a pretty consistent lead tone whether going solo or doing King Crimson ProjeKcts. I can simulate it to some degree with an OCD, volume, delay etc, but I’m curious if any of my bass brethren have a similar fascination with Trey and emulated his tone as well... What have you used?

Yes, Trey's lead tones are great! He has a couple of different ones. Some of them are based on the EH Bass Microsynth, it hard do emulate them without that unit. On some other ones he is fading in a minor 3rd or a 5th for some over-the-topness. These days he uses 2 Carl Martin compressors, one per side, and NI Guitar Rig via Ableton Live if I am not mistaken. I noticed that he recently added some stop boxes for his upcoming shows playing old Peter Gabriel material.
