A Tribute to a bass player, friend,...

...mentor, and a great man, whom I knew as Ed Jones, better known as Eddie Jones. We worked together back in the early '90s (outside of music), but shared a great deal...

Eddie died in 1997. I think of him often, and miss him greatly, and regret I did not spend more time with him and his music.

Here is a clip of Eddie back in the day:

Count Basie Orchestra featuring Count Basie piano & bass duet 1960. - YouTube

Ed, you are missed. I hope others here dig this clip, and look into Eddie's work.

(not sure if I posted this in the correct forum? If not, my apologies; mods, please move this to Recordings or wher it is more appropriate)

Fantastic clip. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Really dug the slides at the beginning when he came in on the bass.
