Trip Wamsley Update

Saw his show a couple of weeks.

He's still pushin' the envelope, going new places, and playing things I've never heard him play before.

He just continues to amaze and thrill me with his playing.

I leave his shows feeling like I've been to church, just bustin' with joy and happiness and a strange sense of peace and "things are all right with the world".

And it's not just a technical thing either...he has something to say and it's coming through loud and clear in his music.

Geez, get a room...

Seriously, I've seen him and he's a hellacious player and really nice guy.

So sorry that you feel uncomfortable.

I love Trip.

Doc, did you see his show on July 30th? I was really curious to see it, but didn't make the trek. I tried to see/listen through the online streaming, but the quality was bad. Was discussing it at my next lesson after that with my teacher, Matt (the opening act bassist).

Anyway, for any other Trip fans, he's got another one of his Trip 2.0 shows scheduled in Lake Charles, LA in September, and I definitely plan on being there. According to his MySpace it will be September 12th. Details: Click Here

Yep, the 30th show, and Matt sounded great, too. His rig is really becoming a tone monster.

Trip was working with his laptop and bass pedal board (as in "Hammond organ) for the first time at the LogOn Cafe.

I've always wanted to see Trip play. Hopefully he'll be in the Austin or Houston, TX area soon.
