Came in my home office tonight and saw this.
Had to take a picture. She had the iTunes going and pretending she was playing!
Think I have a little competition in a coupe of years!
Sorry for the self indulgent dad post!

Saturday morning, she asked if she could "be a bass girl" and I had adjusted the strap for her size. Everything was great until I heard Taylor Swift on the iTunes.
Thanks for the compliments guys. She's gonna be a handful for sure!

So hop to for your daughters good! Besides, it gives you an excuse to buy gear. All around win in my book.

Enjoy, I bet it will be great for both of you... |

It's always a great thing when you as a parent can share the same interest in music with your child.
I owe it to my 17-yr-old son for inspiring me to take up the bass at the age of 52.

Now if I can just switch her from Taylor Swift to James Taylor we'll be just fine!

And I hope your daughter does take it up (playing bass) because she obviously would get a head start in life hahah.
I can't wait to teach my nephew (he's only 1) he will be getting lessons all the time :P

The competitive swimming has helped her strength for sure.
My policy is to let my kids try out any of my "toys" to see if there's an interest and encourage it whenever they want as long as they are respectfull of the equipment!
However, that might change when the Lakland US 4-94 Deluxe in Tobacco Sunburst shows up. !

I've been trying to get my nephew interested in playing an instrument. He LOVES music and has obvious musical ability, timing, rhythm, singing, but so far not showing much interest in bass.
