Thumbs up Got (2) for you

OK my first one is the original bassman from the Stones. Bill Wyman, I know all the history of the group etc. His playing was very understated, no solo's to speak of but he was very functional and knew his role. Also he played a Framus Bass held in the upright position...His best stuff was on 19th Nervous Breakdown....Ok enough of that....The next one that comes to mind is Harvey Brooks from the late 1960's group The Electric Flag. Look him up, he was a great Fender Bassman and his wok still sounds great. Risking sounding old and square : Carol Kaye...isn't spoken about due to her being a jazz educator...around for many years. Look her up if you need to....ps her books are worth it as well........

Incognito

Randy Hope-Taylor. His work with Incognito, especially the 'Positivity' CD from the early '90s, should be required listening for any fingerstyle funk players.
