The guy is just sick no matter what genre he's playing.

The whole thing was an amazing performance by all parties involved but those tandem licks (especially the one at 2:51) were mindblowingly awesome!!!

And now I shall go back to practicing some lame Cars covers for an up coming show. Sooooooo boring, but hey we are getting paid to play.

what's weird is i caught the first show he played with the Thomas Pridgin project The Memorials at a smaller club in Berkeley. there was an amazing amount of talet, but i thought they didn't really play to Mr. Duffy's strengths.
but i'm a bass nerd. i rarely like listening to a band with 2 guitarists. |

Someone I would definitely like to hear more from.

There's a certain rawness to his style that's hard to describe. He's incredibly technical such that he can seemingly pull off just about anything, but his style is not so polished that it sounds lifeless or boring. One of my favorites, and now that he's officially separated from Whitesnake, I hope we'll get to see much more of him in various settings.

Looking forward to those. I'd love to see him live. He never seems to make it up to Seattle though.

I've always loved the DJ's, but was never a fan of white basses (or LPB for that matter). Since those are predominantly the two colors most DJ's are, I finally settled on the white simply because they just looked completely cool when he played them, along with Bassida. - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gdTy...eature=related
Now I love white basses.
