Van Hunt's Current Bass Player (Aug. 2009)??

Sign in to disble this ad
I saw Van Hunt live in Santa Monica in August. His band was called: "His August Quartet" and the bass player was really killin' it. Sounded sweet through a Fender Jazz Custom Shop and an Aguilar rig.

I know his old bass player was The Duchess, but does anyone know the name of his current bassist?

I found one pic online of the gig, but you can't see him all that well (far right):

Any ideas? Thanks!

I really like Van Hunt, but he was even better live. The entire band was really good, just wish I knew who the bass player was!

I'm curious too. On his albums, Van Hunt plays bass himself, right? What did you guys think of his unreleased album, Popular? I liked it--though it was a bit quirkier than his first two.

he does, i think his manager (randy jackson, yes the american idol dude) plays some too, and he has some studio cat on the first album playing bass (and 2nd album too).

I never got the unreleased album, where did you find it? I just have the popular machine EP from iTunes.
