He is on my top 5 favorite player of all time. He is just great.

I never seen him use one, but I wouldn't be suprise at all.

Verdine's on the Sadowsky site as well. VW probably has one of everything at this stage of the game.

haha i guess that means there's no easy way to get a sound like the one he had... most people say that when you're lookin for a new bass you should look at basses of players you like....

...just wanted to add that the early EW&F albums were a bit different from the later POP-oriented(David Foster, cough-cough) stuff.
Their debut is very Sly & The Family Stone-esque; the next couple or so albums do have examples of their Chicago Free Jazz/Latin roots(e.g. The Need Of Love & Head To The Sky).
Every bassist oughta know "That's The Way Of The World".
