It's mainly Regie (guitar, the oldest, and the one that taught ALL of em) Rudy (sax), and Joseph Allen (Keys, toured with Steve Miller, and a few others.) But every once in awhile Victor and/or Future Man will show up. It's one of those gigs where you never know who is going to show up and play. And all that for only $5!
I thought Future Man on his Drumitar thing was good. You should hear him on a kit!!! Future Man was at one of my band's gigs one time. It was fun having him in the audience. Don't know if he was just being nice, but having him say we were 'great' gave me a good feeling.

Just a thought, check it out
tap, slap, slide, clickity clack, double pop, up/down, holy christ how'd he do that, I've never seen That before.
sorry I'm in a bad mood.

sorry I'm in a bad mood. | With all due respect (and trust me, I respect the hell out of anyone who is a Bill Hicks fan), what makes Victor so great, IMHO, is his ability to groove as well as anyone I've heard. Yes, the slapping is amazing, but the guy doesn't just slap for the sake of show. What he does (and everything he does), he does with a sense of groove and it works for whatever he is playing.
I've seen plenty of slappers (as have you) who just wank away at it, boring us to tears after about 2 minutes. It's the guys like Victor and Oteil who can amaze us, not only with what they do, but with how their lines actually work for the music they're playing.
Victor can groove as well as anyone I've ever seen and I can think of no greater compliment for a bassist.

His Groove is something else...I just think that too many people get caught up in the whole pyrotechnics thing (same w/ B. Dickens who can also groove his ass off). Glad you mentioned Oteil here - he can do it All and w/ style to spare.
