Victor Wooten in Toronto

I went out and saw The Victor Wooten Band last night at Lee's Palace in Toronto. All I can say is WOW! What a show, words really can't describe it, I've been trying to tell friends about it and there is nothing I can say to accurately describe the show, it is something that must be experienced.

One thing that really caught my attention had nothing and yet everything to do with the music. I noticed that unlike may bands I've seen, they all had big smiles on their faces and were genuinely having a great time up there, goofing around, etc., happy to be playing.

It was truly a great show and tons of fun, if you get the chance to see them DO IT!

As Vic says, "we all get a space on the stage". In fact, Vic dont take leaders pay. He is a unique dude, an old soul. You missed another great player, Anthony Wellington, who is usually dueling bass licks with Vic. They'll blow the roof off DETROIT tonight!

Yeah, he talked about missing Anthony...he seemed a bit annoyed but only as annoyed as Vic can seem. He really strikes me as a super nice guy, all of them really.

It's really annoying when your friend and bass tech get caught up at the border on a paperwork hassle on a Sun am. And he had visited Canada many times recently.

Taken a lesson or two from Anthony, so I can only speak to that personally. Super nice people.
