Victors Wooten and his Book

Sign in to disble this ad
I just got back from seeing Victor Wooten talk to a group of about 25-30 people where he played and talked about his new book at a local bookstore here in Nashville. I didnt really know what to expect but it was an amazing time hearing him talk about music... it kinda blew me away actually...it was really insightful and smart....for some reason I didnt expect it.... Has anyone read his book yet and if so what do you think about it? While I was there I kept thinking about the the Victor thread about people talking smack about him because everything he talked about and even the way he talked convinced me that he doesnt mind what you think of him good or bad as long as you learn from it.

I would love to read his book, I am trying to get my wife to buy a copy of it and send to me in the desert, but she hates buying stuff online.....let me know how it is.

I've read the first chapter (he had it for free online at one point - might still be on his website). It's great. I want to get the book.

His book is great. I got to see him at Bass Specialties a few months back and it was an inspiring event. It was the first master class/clinic where I came out excited to play versus having that feeling of "I'm no good, I should never play again."

To listen to a guy like Victor explain playing in a new way was really cool.

I haven't read the book but seeing videos of him talking about music and all that he's seems fantastic. I have learnt a fair bit from him.

I am half way through it. Very easy reading. Very well written. Congrats to Victor on a great book .

I'm half way through as well, it flows well, and it's got some nice messages in the midst of the stories.

I would like to read this book. Perhaps I will pick it up the next time I am around a Barnes and Noble.
