Video of me in Palm Springs

Here is a vid that someone took, when I played in Palm Springs recently. The second half is much more bass oriented that the first half, so hang in there.
Peace and music,
E

The tone is a little clanky for me, but it was a rental rig, and a rental soundman, so it was fine. It really worked in the last tune, though. Thanks for the comments, guys.

The tone is more to my liking here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTtOXL_16_Y Check it out.

Nice. You're dead-on in the pocket. Living proof that you can groove with a pick.

Sounds good, generally I'm not a fan of pick usage but you do it well, kudos.

Cool vids, Eric. I don't know why I just put it together, but you've been one of my favorite recorded bass players for a decade now! Kudos to you, sir. Just when did you land that gig? It looks like some time between "Paradise" and "Cocoon", but there's a few years span there. Just trying to determine if it was you playing on some old German TV performances I have somewhere on VHS.

Nice work! I dig that "clanky" tone.. slices right through the mix.

Hey guys. Thanks for the comments. I actually play more finger style than pick, but these vids just captured a few tunes. Anyway, I joined K's Choice in April of '97, so it's been just over 10 years that I've played with Sarah. I toured for "Paradise in Me", and recorded everything from "Cocoon Crash" on.
The clanky tone is all P-bass. It works for a lot, but it isn't my ideal. I enjoy a good thud, but songs come first. That wasn't our regular soundman, so it was brighter than usual, too.

Here is another vid. It's a TV show in Paris. Much less aggressive tone, but it is a J-bass. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cf7AkFy_AFI

This one is a song we did for a Dutch movie. It was nominated for an Academy Award. J-bass, again

Not an Addict, Paradiso Theater, Amsterdam with my Sadowsky Vintage 5. I sold it to someone here on TB.

Very cool stuff, Eric. It looks like that G&L has served you well, too. It's visible in a few shots of that "Come Over Here" video, but also a live "Mr. Freeze" that looked like it was pretty early on in your tenure w/ K's Choice.
